Mission Accomplished

Harmonee went into surgery today, she did great! As of now... Transplant Is OFFICIALLY Done!! Now to finish healing and go home! She is getting her personality back and her teeth are popping in like crazy. Brandon and I got to go in and be with her before they took her away and put another breathing tube in, mainly because she went in almost 6 hours later then the surgeons had planned. We have come to learn that if the surgery is at 10:00 a.m. it actually means a number in line. She is smiling like crazy and is starting to look like a normal baby with a small tummy (this is a good thing! I promise) and not so many cords all over the place! The nurse said that she is starting to stay awake much longer then she was before. After surgery she was wide awake even helping the ventilator breath. The nurse was thinking that the plan could possibly be extubating (take her breathing tube out) her yet again tomorrow night or early Friday morning, and depending on how her breathing goes possibly move her to ICS on Monday. If everything goes good up in ICS hopefully be home with in a few weeks if not sooner! I will be nice to spend time with the whole family under the same roof before Brandon gets deployed (the orders came through)! I can't believe the differences of before and after transplant! Its unreal.

  1. I am so glad to hear Harmonee is doing well and all closed up. Transplant is a wonderful thing. I can't believe the differences I see in Eden pre and post transplant. In six months your life will seem almost normal.
